Levington Lagoon

Saltmarsh and mudflat habitat. Very good for waders, however the viewing tends to be distant. There is a small car park for four or five cars.

There are two routes - from the car park continue a short way down the path till you get to a gate where the coastal path branches off to the right. Take the left-hand path to get a good view in the morning over the mouth of the creek from the eastern side. The right-hand path leads past the sewage works which attracts many birds, round to the west along the edge of the river. You can then take the path running from the bank up north, where it comes out onto the main road opposite the pub near the church. Turn right onto the main road and you will get back to the car park after a few hundred yards.
